Contenu
Trained by senior Sakalava boatmen, Ginot started out as a crew member on traditional pirogues before becoming a certified guide. He knows animal calls, currents and every fishing family. Fluent in French, English and Italian, he bridges travellers and local park authorities.
The Ginot • Nosy Be project focuses on small groups (maximum 8 guests) with well-maintained gear, life jackets that actually fit and cool boxes filled with filtered water. Meals are prepared by host families with fresh produce and waste is sorted after each trip.
Every outing starts with a safety briefing and a weather check. The plan adjusts according to the tide, swell or turtle activity. Ginot would rather shift a departure than deliver a mediocre experience: quality always comes before quantity.
A share of each excursion fee goes directly to local communities—boat captains, cooks, Lokobe trackers. This fair distribution keeps the activity sustainable and avoids harmful practices such as feeding wildlife or overfishing the reefs.
