Experience at a glance
Embark in a Sakalava dug‑out canoe from Ambatozavavy, glide through mangroves and step into Nosy Be’s last primary forest. Under the emerald canopy hide panther chameleons, leaf‑tailed geckos, black macaco lemurs and tiny mouse‑lemurs. Lokobe is an immersive rainforest walk, far from the crowds, guided by Ginot who knows every frog call and medicinal liana.
The daytime visit costs €55 per person. The night visit costs €100 per person, from 15:30 to 20:00–21:00.
Travelling solo? A €15 supplement applies per Lokobe trip: €70 for the daytime visit or €115 for the night visit for one person.

The pirogue approaches the shore, then the walk begins. In Lokobe, the landscape also unfolds at leaf level.
Time to watch
Look for lemurs among the branches. Black lemurs are part of Lokobe’s wildlife; sightings depend on the animals’ activity and can never be guaranteed.
The pirogue is part of the journey
The daytime visit includes the pirogue trip and a Malagasy lunch. A separate option explores Lokobe in the late afternoon and evening; Ginot confirms the timing and programme for each visit.

From the pirogue to the forest paths
The daytime visit begins with a pirogue crossing. Ashore, follow the forest paths with Ginot and take time to look for wildlife among the leaves. A Malagasy lunch is included before returning. A separate option lets you explore the forest in the late afternoon and evening.
Choose when to explore Lokobe
The daytime visit involves around 45 minutes in a pirogue and an easy-to-moderate walk; closed shoes are recommended. This option costs €55 per person. The night visit costs €100 per person and runs from 15:30 to 20:00–21:00. Ginot can help you choose between the two.
