Two days of coastal walking, a simple cabin stay, beach time and a night beneath the stars. Depending on the timing and active nests, you may also see sea turtles laying eggs or hatchlings emerging.
Two days on the island
The two-day format gives proper space to the walk, an evening on the island and the return journey the following day.
Departure is early, from the meeting point Ginot confirms the day before. After the inter-island crossing, the route continues along the coast, with around two hours of walking during the day.
The order of the stages remains tied to sea and weather conditions. Ginot adjusts the programme close to departure and confirms what to bring for the walk and the beach.
The evening extends the experience after the day visitors have left. The overnight stay is in a simple cabin, with the beach and the star-filled sky as the setting.
The €135 per-person rate includes the boat, a night in a cabin, meals, water and the guide. A local orchestra can be arranged as an optional extra; it is not included.
During your night on Nosy Iranja, you may see turtle eggs hatching if a hatching occurs that night, as well as egg-laying if a turtle comes ashore to nest. These natural events cannot be guaranteed.
The second day leaves time for the beach and the coastline before the return crossing. Ginot confirms the meeting point, the exact sequence and the practical details the day before.
Travel to Iranja by boat, then explore the coastline on foot with Ginot. Stay on the island for the evening and spend the night in a cabin. The following day leaves more time for the beach before the return crossing, giving you a chance to experience the island beyond a day visit.
Allow around two hours of walking each day and expect basic cabin accommodation. Discuss the pace of the stay and what to bring with Ginot before leaving. He confirms the meeting point the day before and adjusts the timing to sea conditions.

The daytime visit costs €55 per person. The night visit costs €100 per person, from 15:30 to 20:00–21:00.
Travelling solo? A €15 supplement applies per Lokobe trip: €70 for the daytime visit or €115 for the night visit for one person.

From September to December, whale sharks gather to feed in the waters around Nosy Be. The trip also includes a stop at Nosy Sakatia, with a minimum booking of two people.
